When we first walked through this diamond in the rough, we quickly realized it would take a client with creative vision to see the potential of this Connecticut cottage. The house had been occupied by the same couple for nearly forty years and showed signs of deferred maintenance, along with some not-so-successful alterations to the kitchen and living room.
With an eye on the client’s budget and an appreciation for their desire to spend time at their new country house, our design teams worked in parallel to simultaneously develop the architecture and interior design. Construction began within weeks, with Heide’s interiors team driving the schedule for the move-in date.
This was a special opportunity for us to bring in some of our favorite vendors, while also experimenting with new ones. The spirit of collaboration really made this project sing.
