Our goal for this project was to create a relaxed seaside family retreat without a heavy handed beach house feel. Although an oceanfront property, the family intended to use the home year-round and wanted the interiors to reflect their travels, interests and casual lifestyle with unfussy furnishings that would only look better with time. A serene chalky white backdrop is the foundation throughout the rooms with bold dark green accents on doors and window sashes providing a graphic accent that complements the lively patterns of various Kilims, antique Perisan rugs and geometric textiles. We filled the rooms with luxuriously upholstered furniture, while a curated collection of antiques and accessories provide layers of character and warmth.
