Working with and under the direction of the Director of Interiors and the Director of Finance, candidates should have at least five years of professional experience managing the purchasing of a small to mid-sized company. The role requires a strong command of Quickbooks, Smartsheets, Microsoft Office, Google Docs and Google Sheets. As a full-time salaried position in our Connecticut office, this role requires a minimum of 40 hours per week and occasionally extends into evenings and weekends.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Purchasing Management

  • Compiling quotes for Purchase Orders
  • Routing Purchase Orders for approval through Principal and client
  • Routing Purchase Orders for fulfillment from vendors
  • Updating Project Dashboards to ensure Principals are aware of actual fees for furnishings purchased in relation to estimated costs
  • Working with bookkeeper to issue client invoices and request deposits
  • Tracking deliveries

Interior Design

  • Furnishings Budget
  • Assisting Designers with Schedules of items purchased by HC:
  • Lighting Schedules
  • Wallpaper and Paint Schedules
  • Cabinetry Hardware Schedules
  • Researching and securing warehouse facilities for project inventory
  • Installations – Coordinate and manage warehousing of FFE, plan installations and deliveries, provide clear communication to the site teams on deliveries and installs, participate in the installations

Studio Management

  • Vendor management – maintain and manage the preferred vendor list, manage yearly pricing negotiation.
  • Research and introduce new products and vendors to the design team.
  • Procuring and distributing holiday gifts to current clients and top vendors
  • Maintaining Reservoir inventory records
  • Rug inventory management

Software

  • Smartsheet
  • Quickbooks

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Fluency in Smartsheets, Microsoft Office, Google Docs. and Google Sheets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent math skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5 years work experience (experience in the AEC industry or Interior Design is a plus)
  • Drivers license
